What is DonBusca?
DonBusca is a meta search engine, a search tool that provide users the ability of simultaneously search multiple search engines under one interface. Meta search engines benefit users by saving them time and effort from having to individually visit multiple search engines in order to find the desired result. Along with web search, DonBusca currently offer a directory based on data from The Open Directory Project.

How is this working?
In the search box, type in the key words necessary for search, for example:
CNN CNBC or +CNN +CNBC will retrieve results that contain all the words.
"CNN CNBC" will retrieve results that contain the exact phrase.
"CNN CNBC" -ABC will retrieve results that contain the exact phrase "CNN CNBC" and not the word "ABC"

The check boxes helps you to define in which category you want to search.

In the preferences you can set next settings:
"The adult filter" option tries, and only tries, to eliminate the most XXX URLs possible from all results of your search.
The "grouped by domain" option groups results per domain name, so you get only one result for each domain in the results.
Selecting "results per page" lets you choose how many results you want on the results page.

We at DonBusca.com are very proud of our Search ranking. Each result has a search rank which shows the number of points that the URL has collected during the search. The number of points is defined in two ways: by the positioning of the URL in the search results of all search engines, and by the number of searched words. In the case of CNN CNBC, for example, if some URL from AltaVista stands in the 3rd place in our search, this will give 10 points to the URL. However, if the same URL stands in the 2nd place in Google's search, then it gets an additional 15 points. Further more, the number of points obtained after counting the number of searched words in the title, description and address of the URL are added to the total sum of points. Of course, the URLs with the biggest scores can be found at the top of the results given.

At top of the search page you can find your search results organized in the clusters. This will help you to get focused inside your search results or with click on the icon beside each cluster you can expand your search with related term.
Beside clusters you can also find, if applicable, first three results form Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
With our "Fast Surfer" tool you can put all you results with one click in panel which enables you to browse very fast through all your search results without leaving current window.
